Colombo Industrie Tessili manages and controls all the phases of the process from the product creation and development to the production, weaving and finishing.
The product design comes from a constant research.
The design of the new collection is carried out internally by the style department. Research, creativity and innovation are the focus of Colombo in order to satisfy the customer needs with the creation of special articles.
Within the weaving there are the winding, weaving and quality control phases.
The winding operation consists in the transferring the yarn from an initial box to a specific cone on which the yarn is wound in crossed turns on a rigid cardboard or a plastic tube of different heights. This operation is used to prepare the yarn in a package more suitable for the next processes such as: dyeing, knitting, warping, weaving.
When the weft thread meets the warp, it creates the fabric, a synthesis between the raw material quality and and the creativity of the design and structure. The looms can produce plain, jacquard or knit fabrics.
The raw fabric is checked at the inspection screens after the weaving.
During the visual checks small defects typical of a natural raw material can be removed. Labor is an extremely important factor in order to obtain the maximum quality of the fabrics. After the quality controls, the greige fabrics are being finished.
As part of the finishing there are the preparation, dyeing, finishing, quality control and shipping phases.
After the weaving some processes to prepare the fabric to the next dyeing and finishing steps are needed.
After having eliminated the auxiliary substances used in the spinning, weaving or knitting (oils and waxes) processes and the natural impurities still present on the fibers, we obtain the degree of purity necessary for the next steps.
To dye a textile product it is necessary to treat it with an aqueous solution or with dispersions of dyes, with the addition of various substances: salt, alkali, acids and other auxiliaries. The dyeing stuffs dissolved in the bath must be absorbed and should penetrate the fiber.
The main finishing processes are steaming, washing and heat setting. The final finishing, on the other hand, includes a series of processes designed to prepare the textile material for the intended final use.
Once the fabrics have returned from finishing, they are again 100% checked at the inspection screens. The inspectors scrupulously check the fabric and their great know-how guarantees the highest quality. Once the checks at the inspection screens are finished, we move on to laboratory checks, where physical and chemical tests are carried out. The fabric is now ready to be shipped to the customer.
