After a highly successful first experience at Milano Unica, Colombo Industrie Tessili officially announces its collaboration with Directa Plus, an international leader in graphene research and industrial production. The partnership between the two players has resulted in a new innovative fabric obtained through an immersion treatment in the graphene blend. The fabric retains its typical characteristics but at the same time is ennobled by the properties of graphene, in this case Graphene Plus, the only graphene produced without chemical additives but obtained exclusively by physical transformations of natural graphite.
The result is suitable for both internal (such as linings) and external use, such as winter jackets. The main features of the new fabric are its thermal properties, which allow to equalize the temperature, ensuring heat diffusion along the fabric. Impregnation then gives the fabric antistatic characteristics(required in the workwear and military world) and antimicrobial ones(both antibacterial and antiviral). Being antibacterial, the fabric becomes anti-odor as well: this results in a reduction of washing cycles and thus greater sustainability of the final garment. In addition, a color chart of the fabric was also obtained in the proposal, which previously appeared only in gray colors.
